Antirust pigments are the main components of antirust paint. The antirust pigments normally include physical antirust pigments, organic chemical anticorrosive and antirust pigments and electrochemical antirust pigments. The components of the physics antirust pigments are iron red, alumina powder, graphite powder, glass flake cement, and biotite compounds. Filling materials function as a frame in stain-resistant architectural coatings, and are generally mixed with light calcium powder and barium sulfate. Light calcium powder makes the paint layer have excellent resistance to sea damage. In addition, feldspar has stable physical properties, and it is not easy to bubble or fall off in the sea for a long time. Barium sulfate can manipulate the viscosity of the product, make the product colorful, reliable, and improve the wear resistance of the product.
1. The Fuction and Application of Anti-Rust Paint
The anti rust paint can penetrate into the rusty area of the conventional surface quickly and adequately and set off a reaction with rust. Normally, a new upgraded air oxide film will replace the original rust and firmly adhere to the conventional surface of the metal.
After the rust on the conventional surface of the metal is resolved, a high-density, strong air oxide film will be added to replace the rust, and the metal surface such as steel and iron will be passivated to avoid the melting of metal ions and achieve the goal of complete rust prevention.
Antirust paint has now already been widely used in large and medium-sized steel structure factories, oil pipelines, machinery and equipment of chemical enterprises, steel frame structures of power plants, railway infrastructure, road and bridge tunnel constructions, underground car parks, traffic markings, sewage treatment stations, airports towers, power distribution stations, communication towers and other industries.
Antirust paint can reasonably seal metal and other objects, and protect the surface of various materials from damage of water, compounds, salt or other corrosive chemicals. Antirust paint mainly contains physical and organic chemical properties. Its process performance lies in the proper coordination of pigments and paint materials, which subsequently creates an air-tight paint layer to avoid the invasion of corrosive chemicals. Organic chemical antirust paint uses organic chemical inhibition of rust by pigments, such as red lead and zinc yellow antirust paint.
2. Two Ways of Applying Anti-rust Paint
The antirust paint can be painted or sprayed. For engineering construction, the paint must be mixed uniformly before spraying. If the viscosity is too high, an appropriate amount of cold water can be added. The added water flow cannot exceed 10%. When adding water, the paint should be mixed so as to ensure the uniformity of the antirust paint.
Dust, weld penetration, oil stains, rust and old paint on the surface of the product must be removed before painting. Natural ventilation shall be maintained during the construction period of the antirust paint projects. Do not work under the circumstances where the working temperature is less than 5℃ or the environmental humidity is higher than 70%. The paint layer of the anti-corrosion paint can dry autonomously or dry at ultra-low temperatures. During autonomous drying, the temperature should be not less than 5°C and the ambient humidity should not be higher than 70%. When drying, the leveling time should not be less than 15 minutes. The baking temperature should not be less than 60℃, and the baking time should not be less than 25 minutes. When painting for the second time, wait until the first painting is completely dry, and the interval between the second paintings should be at least 24 hours.
