Description

Main Features:

SMT-S/858 Decorative Fireproof Coating is a new single-component decorative fireproof coating developed by our company. This product is a composite of organic polymer materials and inorganic materials, offering excellent fire resistance and decorative properties. The coating is water-based and environmentally friendly, making it suitable for fire protection of combustible substrates.

Substrate Treatment and Application Methods:

(1) Substrate Treatment:

  1. This product is primarily designed for wood, such as wood panels, plywood, fiberboard, and can also be used for fire protection of non-load-bearing metal surfaces, such as ventilation ducts.
  2. Before construction, thoroughly inspect the substrate for factors that could affect the quality of the coating, such as dust, oil stains, water residues, etc. Construction can only proceed when these checks reveal no issues.

(2) Application of Fireproof Coating:

  1. Open the packaging on-site and use mechanical stirring until uniform consistency is achieved. If the material is too thick, a small amount of neutral water can be added to achieve the desired consistency, but this should not exceed 5% of the paint volume.
  2. This coating can be applied through brushing, rolling, or spraying. Alternate between horizontal and vertical strokes between each coat, ensuring an even and smooth application.
  3. Requirements for Temperature and Humidity During Application:The coating should be applied at temperatures between 15°C and 25°C, with a relative humidity of ≤80%. High humidity or low temperatures can prolong drying times and reduce film adhesion and other performance properties.
  4. The first coat should be applied with an approximate usage of 0.1kg/m2.
  5. After the first coat has partially dried, apply subsequent coats until the specified thickness is achieved, with each coat using an approximate 0.1kg/m2 of coating.
  6. Under normal conditions, the interval between coats should be at least 4 hours. The interval can be adjusted if temperatures are too high or too low.

Notes:

  1. Clean the substrate surface before construction, ensuring it is free from oil stains, water residues, dust, etc.
  2. This coating should not be mixed with other coatings or substrates, and no additional components should be added before use.
  3. Seal any unused coating for future use.
  4. This product is for indoor use only. It is primarily designed for wood surfaces, such as wood panels, plywood, fiberboard, and can also be used for fire protection of non-load-bearing metal surfaces, such as ventilation ducts.
